Dharma Announcement

His Holiness Gyepa Rinpoche, one of the lineage holders of the sacred Drakmar Namkha Khyungdzong tradition, has made immense contributions to the propagation of the Buddha Dharma in general and especially to the preservation and flourishing of this precious lineage. At the heartfelt invitation of his devoted students, disciples, and patrons in North America, His Holiness has graciously agreed to visit New York and Toronto in July 2026.

New York Program

At the sincere request of Dharma friends and disciples in New York, His Holiness Gyepa Rinpoche has kindly agreed to preside over a special Dharma gathering

On Saturday, July 4, 2026, from 9:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., the Throma Töluk Ganacakra Tsok Offering and Long Life Empowerment will be bestowed at the New York Sherpa Dharma Centre.

All Dharma practitioners, devotees, sponsors, and friends are warmly invited to attend and participate in this auspicious gathering.

Toronto/Hamilton Program

Furthermore, at the invitation of his students and patrons in Canada, His Holiness Gyepa Rinpoche will arrive in Toronto on July 12, 2026. During this visit, the members of the Riwotsegya Throma Buddhist Institute have respectfully requested that His Holiness preside over a special Dharma gathering, and he has graciously accepted their invitation.

This auspicious occasion coincides with Chökhor Düchen (the Great Festival of the First Turning of the Wheel of Dharma), one of the four major Buddhist holy days. It commemorates the day on which Buddha Shakyamuni first turned the Wheel of Dharma by teaching the Four Noble Truths for the benefit of sentient beings. As one of the four great Buddhist festivals, Chökhor Düchen is regarded as an especially sacred and meritorious occasion for Dharma practice and the accumulation of virtue.

On this auspicious day, at the Hamilton Centre of the Riotsegya Throma Buddhist Institute, the Great Sadhana of Machig Throma Nagmo, Tsadrup Dawa’i Ötreng, according to the Drakmar Namkha Khyungdzong tradition, will be performed. In accordance with the lineage tradition, a Ganacakra Tsok Offering will also be offered

All Dharma practitioners, devotees, benefactors, sponsors, friends, and members of the community are respectfully and warmly invited to attend and participate in these sacred practices. We sincerely request everyone to join us on this precious occasion to gather together in Dharma practice and receive the blessings of this auspicious day.
